Considering the historic or geographic context, the three Northeast Asian countries (Korea, China and Japan) are either cooperating or competing in diverse domain including politics, military affairs, economy and culture. All three governments desire to maintain a strategic cooperative relationship that flows through the past, the present and the future with one another. List as much Korea-China, Korea-Japan diplomatic issues that you know of and present describe response Korea can take towards China and Japan on respective issues.

> It is getting more and more important for the Northeast Asian countries to cooperate. China, Japan and Korea can and should create powerful synergic effects.

There are several examples of Korea-China and Korea-Japan diplomatic issues. First, China is preceding the FTA, while they are the biggest trading company of Korea. But China constantly insists that the territory of us can be their territory since Kokuleo (고구려) belongs to China. Also, China is a friend of North Korea, making us to consider them while the U.S. is in our side. Second, Japan has so much to do with Korea. They have comfort women issues. It is obvious that they constantly raped and tortured the women during the war, but Japan doesn’t accept, and that’s what makes us angry. There are also territorial issues. Though Japan insists, Dokdo is Korea’s territory for geographical, historical reasons. And the East Sea, which is wrongly named as Japan Sea still remains problem between Japan and Korea. Still, Japan is the close country and can affect a lot. There are also good cases with them and they are the third, fourth big trading country of ours.
 

We, Korea should correct the problems with China and Japan since there are so many issues among them. In other hand, it is true that we can’t make out without them. We have to promote good relationship with China and Japan, and that’s why the diplomacy between them is getting more important.
