에세이 콘테스트 (박세연 / 중3)

1. Julian Assange, Edward Snowden. Yes, you can almost immediately recognize then as a whistle blower who told the public of organization doing something unethical. People always get huge attention toward a whistle blower to know something new that they never heard of Sometimes, people blame a whistle blower for being a betrayer and giving choos t the society. But there also some people claiming whistle blower as the person who protects the citizen who don’t have enough power to get information like a whistle blower tell us giving a shock.

The protector of human rights. Then what’s human rights? It is something we really care about? Is that really more important than the top secret of one’s nation! Every democratic nation considers citizens as the owner of the country.  They are the people who choose, make a decision, blame the faults as the owner whenever it’s related to the nation’s affair. Nwow, whistle blower. What does a whistle blower usually  tries to expose to the world? Yes the country affairs. And yes, the are the proptector of democracy.

 But we don’t want to make hue and cry saying whistle blowers should be innocent fo giving us information We have to think the reason why the government was hiding and making secrets. There could be a lot of reasons. For instance, surveillance programs. There were high possibilities for citizens of abusing their information so that the programs couldn’t work properly. Actually, citizens showed positive reactions toward surveillance progress even the knew the facts that government is watching everything what they are doing. They lost their privacy on the internet or on the phone, but gained security and safety instead. As a result, a whistle blowers should be punished for being a betrayer of the country. Yes, citizens get information and what? They are leaking the information of not company, but whole country! Yes, human rights! We have the rights of knowing everything and whistle blowers also have the freedom of expression and speech. Look at Edward Snowden . After he leaked details of surveillance programs of U.S., he totally trashed the nation. Now, he is not an American. He is Russian, today If he did something that so moral and full of innocence and have encourages of fighting against the facts that he leaked, would he run away like that? I have a question. What’s the country means to you? Will you abandon your nation as soon as you realize the government is doing smoothing wrong in your perspective? Citizens are the owner of the country. Have you ever see n the owner of beautiful house just easily give to someone else by the cracks that the house got? Yes, we are the owner of our nation. We believe protection of human rights is not the first. Secret are always revealed in the end. Yes, protection is for our nation, not for personal leakage.

2. Korea, China and Japan continuously shared history, culture, and the location of the country. There are so many similarities among their three nations. Past, present and even in the future, there three countries would cooperate in diversefields. But there three nations are having quit many disputes each other about territorial problems, historical and political problems. In order to solve those kinds of conflict, the Northeast Asia also shared many diplomatic issues.

 FTA. Three nations concluded to have FTA (free trade agreement) for better economic situations to be done for each country. Korea is now trying to make FTA between Korea and China. President Park also visited China for negotiation of FTA which were one of the reasons of visiting.
 Territorial problems is one of the serious problems that we are suffering for such a long period between Korea and Japan. After Korea found the facts that Japan mentioned. Dokdo as their territory on the textbooks, these true nations had much conversation As a result, Korea succeeded to pay due attention to its history textbooks. In the past, Korea was under Japanese laws. In other words, Korea was treated like an animals by Japanese and they didn’t write those history on the textbooks, not just about Dokdo. Fortually, they apologized about the history book. However, we’re still in the disputes of Dokdo problems.

 Deplomats are not people who only can create diplomatic issues. There are many actors by citizens or celebrities. Sometimes, K-pop helps. three countries have happy bond to each other listening to the same music. Athlets could play  gives and actually sometimes they are doing by having games each other.
 These three countries are great friend and the great rival to ech other. They are many disputes and arguing especially in history between Japan and Korea but soon those situations will be done by citizens attention and participation. Japan, Korea, and China. They’re linked for almost everything we also have to appreciate different thoughts even we’re having similar cultures and background.
